"The Statue 4 Eppy Campaign"

The Begining That Led To What Should Have Been Years Ago !

Back in 2014, Bob Pitt, a local Liverpool Singer/Songwriter, came up with an idea to raise money for a long overdue statue to be erected in Liverpool City Centre of Brian Epstein. Bob's idea was to try and write a song thanking Brian for giving us The Beatles, and to ask various Celebrities to sing or play on the song. Bob asked Billy Kinsley, famous for The Merseybeats and later formed "Liverpool Express" to produce the song. Billy took a very average song, and made it something very special.

Then one by one artistes from all corners of the industry came to studios around Liverpool and recorded their bit. Then everybody came together at Parr Street Studios, to record a Video of the song, filmed by the amazing talented Alan Humphrys. So many beautiful people did so much to help this project, and Bob would like to thank a few people again here in no particular order, Billy Kinsley, Alan Humphrys, Freda Kelly, Billy Butler, Billy J. Kramer, Paul Barber, Fiona Williams, Barry McPhillips,  Nick Robins, Bill Elms, David Stark, Garry Christian, Gary Millar, Beryl Marsden, John Mcardle and everybody else who kindly gave their time for the "Statue 4 Eppy" Campaign.

With an introduction from Mike McCartney and featuring Garry Christian, Andy McCluskey, Beryl Marsden, Billy Kinsley, The Mona Lisa Twins, Ian Prowse,Ian McNabb and Owen Paul amongst others THE STATUE 4 EPPY CONCERT A VERY SPECIAL ONE-OFF EVENT EVENING HOSTED BY BILLY BUTLER AND BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE TEAM BEHIND STATUE 4 EPPY. A very special one-off event evening hosted by Billy Butler and brought to you by the team behind Statue 4 Eppy, which was a campaign for the creation of a statue of the Mr Brian Epstein in Liverpool City Centre, the concert celebrated the life and career of the legendary Beatles Manager with all monies raised going towards the Statue 4 Eppy campaign.

This fantastic evening of music and comedy with singers Billy Kinsley & Tony Crane, Ian Prowse and Ian McNabb also appeared on the show. The evening was also THE official launch the single “Our Friend” which has been written by Bob Pitt and includes the voices of Ian McNabb, Andy McCluskey, Owen Paul, Ian Prowse, Billy J Kramer, Beryl Marsden and local celebrities include Tricia Penrose, the late Derek Acorah, Herbet, Paul Barber and John McArdle.
